WHAT TO BRING

We strongly recommend you bring these items on your llama trip:

  • Warm lightweight sleeping bag
  • Sleeping pad
  • Small towel and toiletries
  • Small flashlight or headlamp
  • Sunscreen
  • Lip Balm with high SPF
  • Sunglasses
  • Water bottle
  • Day pack (for water bottle, rain gear, camera, binoculars, sunscreen, or anything else you might wish to have access to while we are hiking).

CLOTHING

  • Hiking shorts or pants
  • Short sleeved shirt
  • Long pants (fleece is warmer than cotton in cool conditions)
  • Long-sleeved shirt
  • Comfortable hiking boots
  • Camp shoes
  • Lots of socks (some wool)
  • Wool sweater
  • Sun hat
  • Wool cap
  • Gloves (polypropylene)
  • Rain jacket and pants
  • Warm vest or jacket
  • Polypropylene long underwear
  • Tevas or waterproof shoes for crossings
  • Swimsuit?

(Note: The llamas will carry up to 20 lbs. of gear per person)

Please pack your clothes and sleeping bag in nylon stuff sacks or lightweight duffel bags that are no larger than 20″ long and 10″ in diameter. Line your sacks with a plastic bag to keep dry. White or clear plastic makes it easy to see the contents
